One of the most powerful things we can do as teachers is to tell the truth about history.

A framework for teaching Aboriginal Perspectives in History

When we think about learning history and understanding history we may think of people from a time long ago from lands far away of events that shaped the modern colonial world. But history can be so much more personal than that and when we delve into Indigenous perspectives on history it's not just how Indigenous people saw events that occurred it's about understanding how time and place shape who we are as human beings and shape our relationship with place and with each other.
